The goal is to identify the main needs of Afghanistan in knowledge, technology, skills and competences for effective Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) introduction and implementation. 
The purpose is to understand the existing links between science, practice, management, vocational trainings, and professional development, which promotes innovative practices in the water sector in Afghanistan. A final report is presented to the Regional Evnironmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) and GIRoA actors in the water sector and the report is expected to be published soon.
