AREU researcher Emily Winterbotham recently participated in the Oxford Transitional Justice Research group’s seminar series. Her presentation drew on AREU research in three Afghan provinces, examining broader perceptions of and desires for justice, peace and reconciliation among local communities. It was entitled “Legacies of Conflict: Healing Complexes and Moving Forwards in Afghanistan” and is now online as a podcast at the OTJR’s website.
