Women’s Participation in Development

This workshop in Mazar-i-Sharif brought together stakeholders of AREU’s project on women’s participation in development. The project has focused specifically on the effects of women’s participation in microfinance initiatives and the National Solidarity Programme, and representatives from related organisations in the northern region attended. There was lively discussion among participants, who shared their views and experiences after hearing about the results of the AREU research. Special thanks to the provincial office of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development for hosting and helping facilitate the event.
