Politicisation of High School Activism in Afghanistan

AREU presented on the findings of the paper “Reaching Boiling Point: Politicisation of High School Activism in Afghanistan”, to a number of representatives from the northern region. The round table discussion in Mazar city was attended by civil society leaders, students, NGOs and government officials from Balkh, Samangan and Jowzjan provinces. AREU’s team presented thoroughly on the papers’ findings and recommendations, which was followed by an open discussion and Q&A. The participants appreciated AREU’s initiative to take research findings out of Kabul and to provinces and requested for more of such events. They agreed that such events can help bring representatives of provinces to the center of discussions and information sharing that usually take place mainly in capital, Kabul.
