CBDR in Bamiyan

Justice researcher Fauzia Rahimi conducted a roundtable discussion on community-based dispute resolution (CBDR) in Bamiyan, Afghanistan in coordination with the Legal Aid Organization of Afghanistan (LAOA) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). It discussed the findings from a recent AREU study on urban forms of CBDR in Bamiyan, and explored possible ways to link CBDR with the formal justice system. and many more which went very well. Participants included members of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission, UNAMA, NRC, the police, and other actors closely involved with dispute resolution via both CBDR and the formal systems.
