The driver is responsible to fulfil the AREUO need in transport department and provide full service to run the organization activities smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Driving

  • Safe transport of all staff, visitors, and equipment/materials.
  • Proper maintenance of all vehicles, including fuel, lubrication, oil, interior and exterior.
  • Prepare daily vehicle usage reports, including trip use, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Report and supervise all maintenance and repair needs of the assigned vehicle.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, registration, and valid permits all the time.
  • Provide periodic usage reports of vehicles, including total mileage, fuel consumption, and expenditure.
  • Follow and abide by the traffic rules, regulations, driver safety manual, and any other instructions by Logistics Assistant or Superior.
  • Maintain vehicle first aid box, communication equipment, tool kit, and fire extinguisher.
  • Duties during special occasions.
  • Work after duty hours or holidays as and when required.
  • Taking good care of office vehicles, such as servicing and cleaning the inside and outside
  • Other duties as required by your supervisor

Requirements

  • Secondary School or higher
  • At least five years of work experience in the relevant field, preferably with national or international organizations
  • Must have a valid driving license
  • Good spoken and written Dari and Pashtu. Knowledge of English is preferable.
  • Must be an active and reliable person
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Must be able to  work in both day and night shift.
  • Have a driving experience inside Kabul city and travel to other provinces of Afghanistan.

Your place of duty shall originally be Kabul, but travel to the field as required.

SALARY, BENEFITS, AND LOCATION

The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined commensurate with experience, taking into consideration AREU’s overall salary scales.

The position is full –time and based in Kabul, Afghanistan, and all applicants, including national and international applicants are encouraged to apply.
